A once-sleepy agricultural town, Stockton has recently gained kudos as a more affordable bedroom community for Silicon Valley. But there’s plenty going on within its city limits. Healthcare and education are the city’s largest sectors, thanks in large part to the University of the Pacific, which helps give the city its #15 ranking in Universities and #19 ranking in Household Income among U.S. midsize cities.
